BREWER, Annie Kate Byrd, age 79 was born in Dayton, Ohio to Thomas and Nettie Byrd. She went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2013. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Brewer, parents, sisters, Hattie Jones, Thelma Haynes, Ruth Heath and one brother, Roy Byrd. Annie joined the First Baptist Church at the age of 14, she was united in marriage to the Reverend Henry Brewer and to this union was born four children. Teresa who passed, Tonya Patterson, Henry T. Brewer and Titus (Twana) Brewer; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six nieces; eight nephews; other family and many friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 24, 2013 at Valley Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1545 Gilsey Ave. Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating. The family will receive friends 10-11 A.M. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
