JONES, William A. "Billy"  -
Mr. William Albert Jones “Bill” aged 51 peacefully gained his Heavenly Wings on March 1, 2018 at his home in Dayton, Ohio.
Billy was a current employee of Met Life Insurance and a former employee at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Time Warner Cable. He was a former member and was baptized at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Morris Smyth and a former member of McKinley United Methodist Church.
“Dolla Bill” was a 1985 graduate of Dunbar High School, and a 1993 graduate of Central State University. On New Year’s Eve 1995, he was joined in marriage to Wendolyn Harshbarger. He was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State University. He enjoyed yard work, cooking, grilling, pool, basketball, card games and hanging with family.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Leonard Heard, Sr.; grandmother, Dorothy N. Jones, great-grandmother, Odessa “Big Ma” Ford; uncle, Clarence Jones, “Jr”; niece, Paige Olivia Jones and godfather, Jack Hart.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Wendy; 2 daughters, Jasmine Marie and Ashley Ann; his son, Jared Anthony (fiancée Andrea; mother, Lisa Hart) of Huntsville, Alabama; mother, Sonseeray (Bobby McShann) Heard; 2 brothers, Ricky L. (Alicia) Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina and Leonard D. (Robin Smith) Heard II, of Dayton, Ohio; 1 loving sister, Lena M. Heard of Dayton, Ohio; 3 nieces, Yur’Mika “Peaches” (Sherelle) Robinson of Dayton, Ohio, Sydney Jones of Atlanta, Georgia and Olivia Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina; 3 nephews, Antonio “TJ” Heard and Leonard Heard, III, both of Dayton, Ohio and Joshua Jones of Atlanta, Georgia. Great-aunt, Annie Pearl Heard; 2 God-mothers, Mrs. Norma Jean Hart and Mrs. Sarah Allen. 2 Uncles, Larry (Sandy) Heard and Gary Heard; 6 Aunts, Linda (Earl) Heard-Hill, Mary Alice (Sherman) Cooley, Elzora (Clyde) Coatie, Bernice Robinson, Barbara (Glenn Alexander) Jones and Marlene (Troy) Jones-Lloyd, all of Dayton, Ohio. 4 sister-in-law’s, Penny Stutz, Candy (Gary) Gamble, Deb Mendenhall and Victoria Lettman. 1 brother-in-law, Tracy Harshbarger.

Funeral service 1PM, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at McKinley United Methodist Church, 196 Hawthorn St, Dayton, Ohio. Visitation 12-1PM. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery.
