After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease Claude Lee, a longtime resident of Dayton, finally succumbed to pneumonia on March 13, 2017. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Cerelia and eldest son Claude Jr. Claude was the youngest of eight children, four brothers (Joseph, Bernard, Manson and Paul), three sisters (Vivian, Emily and Adele) all deceased. He leaves to mourn his remaining children Jeanne, Ruth Matthews (David), Rita (Eddie Bizzell), Jimmy and Susan; dear daughter-in-law, Brenda Lee. Grandchildren, Stacy Lawson (Brian Jackson), Claude Lee III (Nicolette), Jarrod Lee, Kamillah Lee, Jeremy Lee, Aesha Thomas, Elijah Smith, Lee Matthews and Cerelia Bizzell, 12 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. Claude will be best remembered as a decent, caring Christian man, excellent father and husband. He also bears the distinction of being the first black dog groomer in the city, a profession he enjoyed until the onset of his illness in 2001. Services will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at New Life Worship Center, 3350 Benchwood Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45414. Visitation will be at 10 A.M. and funeral services at 10:45 A.M. Entombment will be at Woodland Cemetery.
