McWHORTER, Virgil Lamont “Monty”, age 42 received an invitation that he couldn’t refuse from his Lord on May 16, 2017. He was born on February 25, 1975 in Springfield Ohio. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Patricia A. (Pierre) Wright. His father, Virgil M. McWhorter Jr., three brothers; Henry (Marty) McWhorter, Malcolm C. Fields and Mason L. Fields; a special uncle Paul Fambro (Charlotte LeValley); a special aunt Lisa King; special cousins Shamicka King, Tishanna McWhorter; Denise Bailey of Detroit Mich; A close friend; Jay Spaulding; Special friends, Tyson Bray of Orlando Florida, Jennifer Parker of Las Vegas Nevada, Melissa Sherman, Shawn Johnston, Ashley Steele, Bryant Burton all of Springfield, Ohio; as well as a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Magnum E. Fields, his maternal grandparents Pastor Henry & Lillie Fambro; his paternal grandparents, Virgil & Susan McWhorter; a favorite aunt Wanda Preston and an uncle Patrick Fambro all of Springfield, Ohio. Virgil graduated South High School in 1993 and performed in theatrical plays. He pursued a past time in operatic roles with the Springfield Performing Arts. He was a member of the New Covenant Temple Church of God in Christ for 42 years, where he served as a worshipper and praiser; rendering praises to the Lord. He worked in sales and as a waiter all of his life; but he most enjoyed the relationships he founded at Texas Roadhouse and Mela at the Marriot of Springfield, Ohio. He was known best for his charismatic personality and ability to light up an entire room. His family and friends will always remember him as the Life of the Party; a special kind of guy… Virgil Lamont McWhorter. Homegoing services will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, May 22, 2017 at Restored Life Ministries, 1117 Innisfallen Ave. Springfield, Ohio, Rev. Larry Coleman Pastor with Pastor Willard DeArmond officiating. Visitation hours from 4- 6 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Virgil’s, life and homegoing. The family would like to thank the H. H. Roberts Funeral Home; Texas Roadhouse; Mela and all who rendered support during this time of bereavement.
