Artie Jackson Obituary

Artie C. Jackson better known as Cookie and she definitely was a tough cookie to crack. She was a hardworking strong independent woman who was outspoken and sassy. She taught her children and grandchildren stability and strength. She lived a prosperous life and showed everyone the value of life and the people in it. Cookie Was born on December 27, 1929, in Dayton, Ohio to Arthur and Marie Egler and she gained her heavenly wings on March 11, 2024.

She is preceded in death by Her father and mother Her 3 brothers, and Her children Ricky Egler, Mary Ann, Fredrick, and Shelda Jackson. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her two children Shelia and Paris Jackson, her brother David Egler, and 9 Grandchildren. 31 Great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren 3 nephews and 3 nieces and many family and friends that loved her dearly.

She graduated from Dunbar High School. She pursued her career and became a licensed cosmetologist and opened her very own beauty salon which was called “Artie Beauty Salon ” Granny was fearless and most definitely everyone’s go-to person. She loved dancing, gardening and fashion, she dressed to kill. She never went anywhere without her earrings which she instilled in her daughters and granddaughters (We got our earrings on for you Granny !!!!!)she will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts and minds.
