WHITLOW, Timothy James  -
WHITLOW, Rev. Timothy James was born October 5, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio. He departed this life on July 27, 2017.
He was educated in the Dayton Public Schools. After graduation he joined the U.S. Military, serving in the Army and was honorably discharged. Timothy was employed by Wright State University until his health failed.
He was called by God into His service as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was ordained under the Pastorship of the late Bishop Dorothy Johnson of the New Philadelphia Community Baptist Church. He was faithful, humble and tireless servant for the Lord; serving in any capacity without thought of glory for himself but only to glorify the Lord.
He was united in marriage to Clara Byrd on June 30, 2001. They enjoyed a loving relationship and believed their marriage was ordained by God; Clara was a faithful wife and was with Tim until he passed into the presence of the Lord.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Myrtle E. and James Whitlow Sr.; his brothers: James Whitlow Jr., Harry E. Latham, Paul King Latham Sr.; sister Alice (Darlene) Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Whitlow; his children: Timothy Whitlow Jr., Chanta Whitlow, Kewyana Whitlow, William Whitlow, Nicole Rudolph, Richard Taylor and Maurice Taylor; his siblings: Malan (Delores) Thomas, Judy (William) Daniels of Denver, CO; grandchildren: Bishop Whitlow, Leah Whitlow, Darion Whitlow, Arion Whitlow; sister-in-law, Ernestine Latham Cavers; his lifelong and faithful best friend Eric; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service 11AM, Monday, August 7, 2017 at H.H. Roberts Mortuary, 38 S. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Betty Banner officiating. Visitation 10-11AM. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
