Annie Selmon Obituary

Annie “Lois” Selmon departed life on Friday, November 22, 2019. Born May 15, 1947 to Savannah Mae and J.D. Surls in Montgomery, Alabama.  A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1966, she retired from General Motors Truck and Bus after 37 years of service.

She is preceded in death by parents Savannah Mae Townsend-Frazier and JD Surls, husband Charles (CJ) Selmon; son; James (Jay) F. Stevens Jr. sisters; Mary Ellen Turner, Sarah Jean Miller and Dorothy Keith, brothers; Benjamin Surls, Walter Surls and Andrew Frazier.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Janeen (Shawn) Cokes; daughter in law; Valerie Stevens; stepdaughter; Londe (Gerald) Givan grandsons; Ryan (Shennell) Bass, Shawn Anthony Cokes II, Shane Andrew Cokes , Jaylen Stevens and Marcus Givan; granddaughters; Blake Ann Cokes, Alexandra Givan, and Nia Givan; great-granddaughters; Skylar Rose Bass and Rowen Janeen Cokes, brothers; Clifford (Sui) Frazier, Merphie (Annie) Frazier sisters; Dianna Frazier, Gloria McKinney Ernestine Kilby, and Jacqueline Frazier; Goddaughter; April Ramey, special friends; Betty Jackson, Marilyn Finley, Saundra Ramey, and Joann Batemon and a host of family and friends.
