Gary Fancher Obituary

Pastor Gary Lee Fancher passed away peacefully December 18, 2019.  He was born June 10, 1955 to Roland and Helen Fancher in Shreveport LA. Gary met the love of his life in 1978. They were married on March 23, 1985 enjoying over 40 years of marriage.

Gary attended Iowa Lakes Community College, playing football and was a member of the weightlifting team, excelling in both sports. Gary was an entrepreneur and owner of Do It Right Painting and also did community outreach. He loved to serve others spreading the light of Christ in his ministry.

Gary attended theology school, and was ordained by the late Pastor Willie L. Roland of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.  He served as Assistant Pastor at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop K. Edwin Bryant, Ph.D.  He loved to worship and praise his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he was studious in the word. Gary loved to preach, and was on fire when teaching the word of God. 

Gary was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Leeann Fancher and his father Roland Walter Fancher, Sr. 

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Robin Fancher, (Son) Jermaine Fancher, (Daughter) Irene Tran (Augustine), (Son) Austin Lee Fancher, (Son) Ayrington Fancher. Grandchildren, Isiah Fancher, Cierra Fancher, Cameron Fancher and Augustus Tran;  great grandson, Isiah Lee Fancher, Jr.; his beloved mother, Helen Fancher; (Brother) Roland W. Fancher Jr., (Sister) Terri Fancher, (Brother) Lance Fancher (Amelia). Nieces and nephews, Tabele Fancher (Summer), Janerra Washington, Katrina Tevis (Kenny Ray), Shantell Fancher-Brown (Corey), Nadia Tippet (Michael), Aki Carter, Stacy Gay (Thomas), and Shela Fancher; special friend, Mark Smith, and a host of other beloved family and friends.

Gary impacted the lives of many and will be remembered, loved and missed by every soul he touched. His legacy will forever live on in our hearts!
