Alberta (Allison) Parker, lovingly referred to as “Tootsie,” of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 28, 1939 the daughter of the late Walter Allison, Sr. and Bessie (Mitchell) Allison.
She married Robert L. Parker in 1961 and to this union they were blessed with one daughter.
She graduated from A.H. Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama and attended classes at Central State West in Dayton, Ohio. In her youth, she was a member of Historic Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth in Birmingham, Alabama, later attending Summit Christian Church in Dayton, Ohio for worship. She worked as an X-ray technician in Hackensack, New Jersey before moving to Dayton, Ohio and starting a long career with the family business at Ren’s Market.
Alberta was a fashion diva known for ‘turning it up” with her moves on the dance floor. She enjoyed bingo, music and spending time with family and friends.
Alberta is preceded in death by her parents and brother Walter Allison, Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Roberta Parker Fallen (Destry); her pride and joy, granddaughter, Morgan A. Strahorn and Sydney Fallen; sister Nadine Harris; special friend Nita Blow and a host of dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
