Alma E Dean, age 94 of Trotwood, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May17, 2024.

Born December 30, 1929, to Christopher Vanderbilt and Mary (Vanderbilt) Brumfield in Memphis Tennessee. Alma was one of 2 Children. She began her career as an employee with Zukowitz IGA and then with Dr. Charles Fortson, General Surgeon, where she worked for over 40 years.

She became a member of the Phillips Temple CME Church where she was a faithful member for over 40 years. She served in the Nurses Corp Ministry at the church on Broadway &Germantown and was an active member of the Women's Sunday School Class. In life, Alma enjoyed bowling walking with the Salem Mall/Target walkers and cooking during the holidays.

Proceeding her in death are her parents and brother, George Walter Vanderbilt. She leaves to cherish two daughters, Waverly J. (Jeffery) Warden and Donna D. (Tyrone) Searcy; two grandchildren, D'Angelo Sean (Sabrina) Dean and Phyllis J. Warden; a host of other loving family members and friends.
