Andrea Lawrence was born on January 13, 1947, to the late Andrew and Evelyn Wilson. She was the second oldest of five children and shared a lifelong bond with her siblings, one built on love, laughter, and unwavering family ties.

At an early age, Andrea joined First Wesleyan Church, where she was baptized by her grandfather, Reverend Jerome W. Wilson. Her faith remained the foundation of her life. She later became a faithful member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she joyfully sang in the choir and lived with the unwavering belief that God would always make a way.

Andrea attended Roth High School, graduating with the Class of 1966. While there, she proudly served as a member of the drill team, where her love for music, dance, and performing shined. She carried that same joy throughout her life, always enjoying singing and dancing and bringing smiles to those around her.

Known for her caring heart, unwavering strength, and independent spirit, Andrea was never afraid of hard work or speaking her mind. She was a true firecracker—honest, resilient, and fiercely devoted to the people she loved. She believed in showing up for her family, celebrating their victories, standing beside them during difficult times, and demonstrating her love through her actions.

Andrea dedicated many years of service to NCR, later known as Pitney Bowes, before retiring. She also retired from Trotwood High School, where she continued to touch the lives of those around her through her dedication and hard work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Evelyn Wilson, and her beloved niece, Tracey Davenport.

Andrea leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Richard (Traci) Lawrence III, Tiffany (Kelly) Suber, and Darius Grooms; her siblings, Constance J. Dunlap, Barry (Roslyn) Wilson, Denise Davenport, and Timothy (Shelia) Wilson, sisters-in-law Rudell Jones and Lezora Nobles, brother-in-law Robert Lawrence, her ten beloved grandchildren, Ta’Shaya’, Kelly, Brittany, Daniel, Kameron, Gabhriyel, Nauticah, Na’Savion, Angelita, and Ori; seven cherished great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Andrea’s legacy is one of faith, family, strength, and unconditional love. She lived with courage, served with humility, loved without reservation, and trusted God through every season of life. Though her physical presence will be greatly missed, the love she poured into others and the example she set will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
