Andrew Threats, Jr., “Drew,” age 66, was born on December 2, 1958, to Andrew and Barbara Threats of Dayton, Ohio.  He entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025. He confessed Christ at an early age and recently recommitted himself to the Lord, worshipping at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, under the Pastor-Teacher, Reverend Dr. Herman L. Walker, where he remained a faithful member until his death. 

Andrew was a retired veteran who served in both the Army and the Marine Corps as a motor pool mechanic. He was a proud graduate of Jefferson Township High School, class of 1977, where he played on the Bronco football team and participated on the Wrestling team. He also graduated from the Miami Valley Joint Vocational School in automotive studies. 

Drew was preceded in death by his loving and devoted parents, Andrew Threats Sr. and Barbara Threats; his grandparents, Ed and Izora Threats of Ashland, Alabama, and Leroy and Mattie Roberts of Middletown, Ohio; his sister, Jennifer A. Hunter; and his nephew, Dwayne A. Pope and niece Marquia L. Hunter. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving son, Drewmar Threats, and a loving daughter, Latoya Threats; three granddaughters, Dynasty Threats, Denise Gray, and Zia Threats; three grandsons, Dailyn Daniel, Dereon Gray, and Darence J. Gary; four sisters, Regina (James) Burdette, Andrea (Charley) Bush, Mardrette Summerville of Louisville, Kentucky, and Brenda Pope; lovingly devoted Fiance, Antionette Saunders of Troy, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle, cousins, and lifelong friends. 

Funeral Services for Andrew Threats, Jr. will be at 11:00 am, Friday, August 15th, 2025, at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 301 Mia Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45417. The Funeral service will be live on Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church’s YouTube and Facebook page.  Reverend Dr. Herman L. Walker officiating. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Dayton VA Cemetery.
