Anita Janelle Moulden nee Rutledge of Annapolis, MD transitioned from this earthly life Sunday, May 19, 2024 at John Hopkins Medical Center in Columbia, MD following a brief illness.

A native Daytonian, born March 6, 1961. She attended Jefferson Twp. Schools with the Class of ‘79 and was a graduate of Trotwood-Madison High School Class of ‘78.

Prior to moving to The DMV area, Anita worked as a dept. manager at Gold Circle Dept. Store & shift manger at Fashion Bug both located in Trotwood. Upon relocating, she held several positions in retail management, eventually managing a Five Below, until her health failed.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Joe Rutledge Jr., Vera L. & Willie Howard Woodard; loving & devoted daughter, Jerí Lanelle (Derek Colquitt) Whorton.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Ronald J. Moulden, Sr. of Annapolis, MD; son Gregory Williamson II of CA; grandson whom she helped raise, Darrell (Kumba) Barbour Jr. of MD; sisters Andrea J. Whetstine of Clinton, MD, Arletta Jo Rutledge of Dayton, OH, Toi R. McCombs of Pensacola, FL; nephews & niece, Juan L. (Andrea) Rutledge of Greenville, SC, Qiana C. Quigg of Dayton, OH, Stephen A. (Heather) Campbell of Upper Marlboro, MD; grandsons, Jaylin & Jamarion Williamson both of Dayton, OH; aunts, Karen L. Smith, Maxine Rutledge, Doris J. Smith, Sherrill Smith all of Dayton, OH; numerous cousins, in-laws, step children & their children, other relatives & friends.

Funeral services were held in Annapolis, MD. A memorial service will be held in Dayton at a later date.
