Anya M. Cooper Obituary

Anya Michelle Cooper, age 45, of Dayton, Ohio was born on August 23, 1977. She resided in Dayton, Ohio, and graduated from Trotwood Madison Class of 1995. Anya attended Franklin University majoring in Health Information and Leadership. She continued her education at Sinclair Community College where she attained her Associate Degree and became a physical therapy assistant. Anya continued to pursue a career in nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Ohio Medical Career College. Anya was a dedicated and hardworking secretary for Valarie Elementary School and Fairview High school.

She enjoyed dancing, cooking, sports, and an occasional mixed drink. She will always be remembered for having the best Mac N' Cheese! Anya loved working out and traveling. She will always be known for being vocal and speaking her mind. Her love for music and concerts was unmatched! She was a member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church. On Sundays, she and her son always watched football! Her favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings. She departed this life on December 31, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Teri D. Fleming; step father: William J. Huguely; Grandparents: Pastor Odis Shine, Pastor Nathaniel Cooper, Marie Buycks & Anna Mae Cooper.

She leaves and mourns her memories; one biological son: Jo'Quan Thomas; daughter-in-law: Doniska Thomas; special Children: Joseph Thomas III, Talicia Thomas, Terrance Lander, Jr. & William Jarvis IV; grandmother: Lee Ella Shine; father: Reginald Cooper; three sisters: India Cooper, Kelley Huguely & Asia Cooper; nieces and nephews: Ke'Von, Ke'Shawn, Keon'te Huguely, Serrell, Sanaiah & Serray'ah Williamson; aunts and uncles: Joyce Donaldson, Tonya, Pamela, & Jacquelyn Shine, Annie Taylor, Robin & Debbie Cooper, Walter K. Shine, Johnny Buycks & Nathaniel Cooper; special friends/sisters: Achsah Pettigrew Franklin & Amanda Smith; sister/cousin: Kenyatta Shine, a host of cousins, family, and friends.
