Arma Richardson Obituary

Evangelist Arma L. Richardson, 85, of Trotwood, OH was called home by the Lord to join him in Glory on September 26, 2021.

Ms. Richardson was born April 17, 1936 in Hillsboro, Mississippi to Otho Lee and Alberta Coleman (Evans).

After relocating to Dayton, Ohio in 1978, Evangelist Richardson joined Mt. Olivet Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Ozell Northern, Sr.  She served faithfully for several years in The Home Foreign Mission Department. She received her Deaconess Missionary License on July 31, 2003 and her Evangelist License on July 22, 2004.

She treasured her family and loved people. She was active in the community witnessing, teaching the gospel, assisting the needy, providing food, shelter, words of  wisdom and encouragement, consistently demonstrating her "gift of helps."

She was employed as a teacher's aide in Meridian, Mississippi and pursued her passion after moving to Dayton, Ohio.

Ms. Richardson worked as a Nurse's aide and a home health care aide for several years in Meridian, Mississippi, honorably employed at various facilities - hospitals and nursing homes.

Mama possessed amazing /creative skill sets as sewing, making suits, dresses, curtains, scarves and other items. She enjoyed cooking, taking pictures, spending time with her family and admiring nature.

Her hands were rarely still. She was ambitious, brave, resilient, and active.  She was addressed by her children and grandchildren as "Mama" and known by all as "Mother."

Evangelist Arma L. Richardson is preceded in death by her parents: Otho Lee Coleman and Alberta Coleman (Evans), sisters Lillie Lue Pickens, JoElla Wheaton and Daree Stapleton. brothers - Otho Lee Coleman and Robert Junior Coleman.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons - Johnie L. (Mary) Richardson and Da'Rosa K. Richardson, daughters Annie L. (Carl B. Norton, Sr.), Earlene Wilson, Shirley Snowden, Patricia Richardson, Debbie Easterling, Lisa Richardson, Teveder M. (Kern) Scott, and a loving son in law Minister Percy Williams, Jr., Sisters Bessie M. Smith, Myrtle R. Coleman and Annie P. Thames; grandchildren Chico V. Wilson, Darryl Payne, Eric Scott, Lakisha Brassfield, Artesia Brassfield, Artemus Brassfield, Quintan (Jessa) Brassfield, Velekia Chaunta' March,  Anthony (Latisha) Easterling, Dominique R. Richardson, Mineau' (Ronda) Easterling, Ja'Tywan Easterling, Sr., LaDerick Richardson, William Aaron Snowden, Jr., Carl B. Norton, Jr., Angela Norton (David) Jenkins, Amaris Snowden, My'Kiece D. Richardson. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great- great daughter, Tamryn L. Person
