Asia N. Jones, age 36, formerly of Dayton, resided in Columbus, Ohio. Asia transitioned this life on Thursday, February 29, 2024. She attended Dayton Public Schools and worked as an aide at several nursing facilities in the Dayton area.  Asia was proud of her role as mother to the love of her life Roland “Frankie” Cook Jr.

Asia is preceded in death by her mother, Stephanie Moody-Thomas; paternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Jones; maternal grandparents, J. T. and Annie Bell Moody.

She is survived by her father Elkanah “Bunny” Jones Jr. (Eunice Hayes); grandfather, Elkanah “Sonny” Jones Sr.; son, Roland “Frankie” Cook Jr. and his father, Roland Cook, Sr.; siblings, Ashley N. Moody, Aarion Moody, Joshua Moody, Ariqa Bowens, Anthony Moody, Jurom Moody and Tonia Frison; and a host of relatives and friends.

Forgiving, loving, and kind with an infectious sense of humor, describes Asia’s life journey. She battled her health challenges for over five years with courage and optimism. Through it all, when you asked her how she was doing Asia would say, “I’m blessed. God is good!”
