Barbara Franklin Obituary

Barbara A. Franklin was born January 10, 1941 in Scottdale, Georgia. She departed this life on May 16, 2020 at The Laurels of Huber Heights.

Barbara worked for Elder Beerman as a Department Manager for 33 years. She loved cooking for family gatherings using all her good china and silverware. She also loved taking trips to Atlanta, Toledo and California to visit family and friends. She was a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by mother, Alice Smith; father, John Holland; her husband Sgt. Gale Franklin to whom she was married for 60 years and grandson, Brandon.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter; Jacqueline J. (James) Moore, grandsons: Arthur (fiancée Kayla) and Daniel; granddaughter: Ce’Anna; great-grandchildren: Lamara, AJ, Jeremiah, and Abbigalle; brother, John; sister, Izora; cousin, Ernestine; special friends Beverly, Azella, Rose Aniton, Marie, Ms. Daisy, Rose Williams, Molly Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, great nieces, other relatives and friends.
