Barbara Ann Grant, affectionately known as “Grandma Bobbie” left the earth to join the angels in heaven on April 13, 2025 at her home in Trotwood, Ohio. Barbara was born on June 29, 1951 to Frank Grant, Sr. and Willie Mae Grant. She was a proud graduate of Jefferson Township High School. After high school, Barbara began her career on Frigidaire, which later became General Motors Truck & Bus. She worked there as a Quality Inspection until her retirement after 33 years. During her retirement, her love of children led her to continue work as a nanny, a daycare provider and a pre-school teacher. She retired again after working as an Environmental Services supervisor from Graceworks Bethany Village.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father Willie Mae and Frank Grant, Sr., her brothers James Aubrey, Sr. and Frank Grant, Jr., Her sister Margie Anderson, uncle David Flucas, Sr. and nephew Charles Turner, Jr.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Andrea Grant (Trotwood, OH), grandsons Mannin Patterson, II (Asia), Myles Patterson and Masaad Patterson (Dayton, OH) Great-grandchildren, Mar’kaja, Khari, and Kwame. Sisters Frances Turner (Dayton, OH), Venessa Grant (Windermere, FL), Vera Aubrey (Denver, CO), and Hortense Abitow (Denver, CO), and a host of other family member and friends.

Barbara Ann Grant was the embodiment of love, care and kindness. The memories will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her.
