Betty Jane (Rich) Woodard was born March 15, 1933 in Medway, Ohio to the late William Golden Rich and Minnie P. Camp. She was the fifth of seven children. She resided in Dayton, Ohio, graduating from Dunbar High School in 1951 and retiring from General Motors in 1994 after 30+ years of service. Betty was an avid bowler, enjoyed roller skating, skiing, and played on a women’s softball team. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where she also volunteered at the food pantry. She was also a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital and at the Montgomery County Board of Elections helping with voter registration and election day voting.
Betty departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Golden Rich Jr., sister Stella Bayless, son Dane Martin Woodard, and son-in-law Kenneth Warren Finley.

Woodard-Donaldson (Mark); daughter-in-law Myra Woodard (Dane) of Austell, Georgia; grandchildren Teresa McClendon Yancey of Humble, Texas, Tony A. McClendon of Pickerington, Ohio, Kenneth W. Finley II, (Christina) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Darla J. Finley of Trotwood, Ohio, Joshua M. Garner, Mark L. Donaldson II, Tyler R. Donaldson of Hilliard, Ohio; great grandchildren Adrienne B. McClendon of Pickerington, Ohio, Justin M. Yancey and Ryan M. Yancey of Humble, Texas, Mi̅kal P. Finley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nora G. Donaldson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
