Bruce Buchanan Obituary

Bruce Weldon Buchanan age 68 of Dayton , passed away on Monday May 3, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton . He was born on November 13, 1952 in Waco, Texas , the son of James Buchanan and Dorothy Jean Tillis . He was married to an amazing woman in Sharon Buchanan before her unfortunate passing in May of 2009. Bruce enjoyed giving back to his community through many activities involving his local church . Whether it was tutoring local youth or holding bible study at his home , it was rare to find Bruce without a bible in his hand . He was a very cheerful man that could be found striking up a conversation with any person that came across his path. From a random customer in a grocery store to the wait staff at his favorite restaurant , Bruce always did his best to improve on their day with a kind word or huge smile . If you were really lucky you were able to be serenaded by one of his Good Morning Melodies. He is survived by his two children , son Nathan Buchanan and daughter Kelley Buchanan (Hitchcock). Along with three grandchildren, Daryn Hitchock, Devon Buchanan and Dylan Hitchcock . He will be laid to rest on Monday May 17 at Dayton National Cemetery.
