Calvin Charles Adams, “Peg” age 80 born to Ethel and James Adams of Homer, LA. March 5, 1944, Sunset: June 3, 2024, at Hospice of Dayton. Calvin moved with his parents to Dayton, Ohio, and attended Roosevelt High school where he graduated in 1963. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force from August 15th, 1963, to April 5th, 1965. Calvin worked for MVRTA for 30+ years, where he retired. He enjoyed and is an avid and very competitive bowler, traveling to many states for tournaments. He was a member turned Commander at American Legion Post 328 for many years. Calvin is also known for his BBQ. He called himself “THE BBQ KING”.
Calvin is survived by his 15-year partner Dineah Jackson, children Kevin Adams (Traci), Jennifer Mayes (Ferlando Mayes Sr.), Jacinta Walker, Gretchen Dennis (Ralo Brown Jr.), Calvin Johnson and Tiffany Johnson. Calvin had 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and James Adams, cousin Steve Bryant, aunts and uncles.
