Camaletia Bryant Obituary

The Life of

CAMALETIA E. BRYANT

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Camaletia E. Bryant sadly passed away on June 22, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born in West Virginia on May 29, 1931 to Hugh and Grethel Smith.

She grew up in Middlesboro, Kentucky where she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Eugene Bryant. Eventually, they moved to Dayton, Ohio in where they were married for over 30 years until his death in July 1984. She was a loving homemaker and mother.

She loved watching sports, especially basketball, and was an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan. She was also passionate about children which was demonstrated by her annually collecting for the March of Dimes and Shriners Hospital. Also, our mother loved playing board games and baseball with her grandchildren. As her daughter, Adriene stated, "She was a great mom".

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Grethel Smith, husband Eugene Bryant, son, Bradford Bryant, her brother, Hugh Preston Smith, and her twin brothers, James and John Smith.

She is survived by her children Jessica Forman and son-in-law Russel Forman of Sicklerville New Jersey, Adrian Bryant and daughter-in-law Angela Bryant of Dayton, Ohio and daughter Adriene Bryant of Dayton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, Sheria Campbell, Thomia Campbell, Andre Ellis and Emry Campbell and a host of sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
