Cleo E. Miller was born September 12, 1928 in Gaffney, South Carolina to the late Johney and Gracie Lipscomb. She was the fourth of sixth girls.
She departed this life August 31, 2021 at the age of 92 at Friendship Village.
At an early age, Cleo moved to Dayton, Ohio. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years and retired from there. She first joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in 1950. She later became a charter member of New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
Cleo was a loving, devoted grandmother. She always showed love and kindness to her family and always brought laughter wherever she went. She had a profound effect on everyone she came into contact with.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents: Johney & Gracie Lipscomb; four sisters: Clemmie Smith, Minnie Makupson, Sadie Hogue and Ernestine Hicks; special brother-in-law: W. C. Proctor; her only children: Joyce Jackson and Gloria Miller; two grandchildren: Von and Tamara Jackson.
She is survived by her loving sister: Almeter Proctor; grandson Aaron Miller; devoted niece Elaine Jackson; nephews: Paul Proctor, Holland Makupson; great niece Darlene Reeder; special friend and neighbor Connie English and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
