Cora Beatrice Reeves, born on August 30, 1926 to Wingfield and Mabel Page, in Rochelle, Virginia, entered into rest on November 24, 2024 at the age of 98.   Affectionately known as “Gaga”, Cora received this name from her first grandchild and it continued on to her great-grands.

Serving as Ministry Leader of  “The Willing Workers” and also a Charter Member of Omega Baptist Church, Cora’s love for her church family was evident in all of her church activities.  Cora’s true calling was her willingness to oversee or help with special events for anyone requesting her assistance.  Her kind spirit and generous nature was reflected in any project she accepted.

Professionally, Cora worked for many years as a Cosmetologist.  Her   “press and curl” was her expertise and was highly praised among her clients.  Many of her devoted customers throughout her professional career resulted in life-long friendships.

Time spent with her family was definitely Cora’s true passion.   Her words of encouragement, support, guidance, even reprimands were all highlights of many family conversations and gatherings.

Cora leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jackie Reeves and Patricia Cunningham both of Dayton, one sister, Edith Maddox of Rochelle, Virginia, two granddaughters, Briana (John) Wickline and Ciara Cunningham both of Dayton and four beautiful great-grands, Quri, Alexander, Cylynn and Montgomery.  A host of other family and friends who have fond memories of being a part of her life.
