Cordelia Josephine Hall, age 99 known as “Jo” a long-time resident of Dayton, Ohio, transitioned from this earthly life surrounded with the love of her son and daughter-in-law to be in the presence of the Lord on October 2nd 2025.
Jo was born and reared in Jasper, Alabama in 1925. As a young adult, she relocated to work in Birmingham. She later moved to Dayton in the early 50's. Here she worked along with many pharmacists in West Dayton. She became acquainted with the doctors and patients who patronized the drug stores. When the black pharmacists closed, Jo continued her work as a pharmacist technician at the VA Medical Center pharmacy. There she received several superior awards for outstanding performances presented by the Veterans Administration.
Cordelia is preceded in death by parents, brother, sister, sister in law, half sister and nephew. Those left to cherish those precious memories of “Ma Dear” is her very devoted and beloved Son Leander Buddy Hall (Barbara), Grandson Michael Adams (Anya) Beavercreek, Ohio, Rahman Hall (Karen) Dallas, Texas, Great granddaughter Chi Chi Dallas, Texas, 2 Great grand babies Rahman Hall Jr and Rahmya Hall Dallas, Texas.
Jo had a heart of gold. Her pride and joy was Buddy and family. Those who came in contact with her knew her calming demeanor which will be surely missed.
