Daisy Egler Obituary

Daisy Egler 103, passed away on August 14, 2021, at home. Daisy, known affectionately by neighbors as “Ms. Pudding”, was born in Jonesville, SC on December 27, 1917. The only daughter of the late Inez Hughes. Daisy lived in Dayton for more than 50 years. She worked for Fox Cleaners and was a member of The Vina Beatty Circle, a Golden Ager and The One at Two Hundred Block Club at Shoop Ave.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest “Pidge” Egler, mother Inez Hughes and aunt Rosa Farr.

She is survived by her nephew David Egler; cousins: Evelyn Stratton, Betty Williams; Godchild Monica Johnson; her dear friends: Robert “Mr. T” Turner, Pat Satterfield, Susan McDougle, Kay Thomas, Loretta Booker, JoAnn Richardson, The Shiloh Baptist Church Family and wonderful neighbors.
