David Graham

David Graham Obituary

David Graham, age 74, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday September 8, 2021.  He was born September 22, 1946 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Henry and Rosa Lee Graham.  To this union, eight children was born.

He graduated from Calhoun County Training School in 1964.  He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967 and after his discharge moved to Dayton, Ohio.  He married the love of his life, Jacqueline Gillispie on October 18, 1975 and together had one daughter.  He worked for GH&R Foundry and retired from Regional Transit Authority in 2004. 

David joined Revelation Missionary Baptist Church in 2015.  David was a faithful member, he sung in the church choir and male chorus.  He was member of the Men’s Ministry and always gave a helping hand when needed, especially on the grill. 

He was a kind, loving, and caring husband, father, and grandfather, “Paw Paw”, “Pops”, who loved and cherished spending time with his family.  He always lit up a room with his smile.  He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and always ready for a seafood boil.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five of his siblings.  He leaves to cherish the memory of his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline Graham and two children, Tanika Jackson (John); Tyrone Driscoll of Dayton, Ohio; one sister Margaret Sherrer of Elk Grove, California and one brother Milton Graham of Madison, Wisconsin; six grandchildren Terrance Merriman Jr., Tyrone Graham, John Jackson Jr., Shalon Jackson, Bryce Jackson, Malika Shabazz, four great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
