Deboria M. Johnson (Ragland), age 74, was born on Saturday, February 24th, 1951 in Paducah, Kentucky and peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. She was lifetime resident of Dayton, Ohio and lived the majority of her life in Jefferson Township.

Affectionately known as Debbie, she graduated from Jefferson High School’s class of 1969 and went on to study at Central State University. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Samuel and LaDora Ragland, and brother Samuel J Ragland III, Debbie leaves a legacy of love through her sons Juan (Chileta), Sean (Robin), and Donte’; her siblings Craig (Donna), Robin, and LaMont; four cherished grandchildren; and a lively constellation of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Throughout her journey, Debbie wore many hats—ultimately retiring as an office manager and bookkeeper. When she carved out moments for herself between working and raising her three boys, you’d find her striking up laughter at the bowling alley, packing up for new travel adventures, or gathering with loved ones for vibrant celebrations.

To honor Debbie’s remarkable life, visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19th, at H. H. Roberts Mortuary, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery—a final resting place for a life beautifully lived.
