Debra Robinson Obituary

DEBRA LYNN ROBINSON was born to John and Mablene Taylor of Dayton, Ohio on August 29,1959. Debra attended Dayton Public School (Jackson Elementary, Roosevelt High) and was a 1977 graduate of Nettie Lee Roth High School. After graduating high school she attended the Dayton Job Corps and enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. While at Dayton Job Corps she met Kenny Robinson. On June 3rd 1981 they were united in marriage and to that union had 2 children Kenneth D Robinson II and Kennesha A Robinson.


Debra worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 20 years before her health began to decline, she then took a medical retirement in 2020 due to her failing health. Debra was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for her entire life, where she sang in the Sunshine Band and Youth Choir.


Everyone who knew Debra can say that she always brought life, laughter and fun to every function and there was never a dull moment when you were in her presence.


Debra is preceded in death by her son Kenneth Robinson II; mother Mablene Taylor; brother Anthony Taylor; brother in law’s Michael Lewis and the Rev. Mark Black.


Debra leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Kennesha Robinson; four grandchildren Janisha and Ken’Nya Pooler, Ken’Nae Robinson, Kenneth Robinson III. three great grandchildren Avion Thompson, Avior Pooler, and Kobi Robinson. Sisters Mary Lewis, Johnetta Person, Karen Taylor, and Ann Black; nieces: Marisha (Brett) Collins; Marletae (Dion) Sampson; Deanna Wilson; Courtney (Curtis)Bohannon; Sydney and Antronette Black. Nephews: Eric Pringle; Derrick (Sasha) Person; De’Marques Taylor and Sterling Black. Special sisters-in-law; Anna (Ree) Ellis, Gladys Robinson-Tatum, and Yvonne Blanchett. Devoted long time best friends, Gloria Wilson, Sandy Johnson, Valeria Woods and Shelia Washington. and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
