Denise Lynn Whitfield, age 67 of Dayton, OH, was born on January 17, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Leroy & Laura Garrison.  Denise's journey here ended unexpectedly yet peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at home.  Denise was a proud Class of 1973 Roosevelt "Teddy"  Alum where she met her lifelong partner and companion Billy Whitfield.  Shortly after she graduated from high school Denise and Billy united in marriage on June 16, 1973 and traveled the world.  They ventured through Thailand, Oklahoma City, Washington State, and many other parts of the country before returning home to settle in Dayton, Ohio.  Denise was a longtime and active member of Shiloh Baptist Missionary Church. Denise had many hobbies and was passionate about scrapbooking as she loved capturing every special moment with family, friends, and her life experiences. She loved spending her evenings watching sports and following the likeness of Lebron James.

Denise was optimistic and her positive outlook on life ensured all that who came in contact with her felt loved.   Denise was a devoted wife to Billy, mother to Charity and Chad, nana to Christina and friend to more than could be named.  She loved her family, and friends.  Her memories will be cherished by many and especially her husband Billy, Charity, Chad and Christina.   Denise had family in law and love which included Carolyn (James) Dailey, Dorthy (Eartha) Amerson, Freddie (Kim) Whitfield, Guy Whitfield Jr, Lenord (Delores) Whitfield.  Her very close cousins Karen Rucker, James Hampton, Lynn Stevenson, Shirley, Bennie (Ludy) Jones.  She had beautiful extensions to her family, including special friends like Debbie Watts Robinson (Kelly, Kacey, Jackie, Ryleigh, Lee and AJ), Reather Dawson (Clarence, Stephanie, and Tonya), Beverly (late Sam, Mike and Deandra), Theresa Nash and Cyndi Ferguson and a host of additional relatives and friends.  We love you NeeCee Always & Forever!!!!!!
