Diana Wills, of Dayton, Ohio age 66 departed this life on Monday, May 2, 2022.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 26, 1955, and resided in Dayton, Ohio since 1977. Diana studied Banking-Finance, worked in the Industry of Banking and Retired from the United States Postal Service. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Home2 Family. She was a loyal member of OES and served as the Past Worthy Matron Commandress. She is a member of the St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church. She has served on the Missionary Board, been Assistant Secretary and worked on countless committees to advance the work of the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James D. & Janie L. Cook and brothers Sammy D. Perry and Jimmy Lewis (Cook).
Diana is survived by, her loving husband Edward W. Wills, beloved pet Kizer, sister, Clara Jean Shepherd (Shellie) of Dayton, Ohio, brother James Defoy (Kim) Cook of Dayton, OH. She leaves behind treasured nephews, James D. Cook III (known as her son), L. Payne Jackson (Toni Andréa) of Dayton, Ohio, Beloved niece, Patricia Wortham (Gary) of Dayton, Ohio. Diana was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces Nicole Shepherd (daily strength) of Dayton, Ohio, Ariel Jones lovingly nursed her aunt during her illness and Ashley Jones who was her champion cheerleader, great- great nieces and nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews from Baltimore, Maryland, Long Island, New York, Dayton, Ohio, Washington, D.C. and Alabama. Cherished cousins from Columbus, Ohio, Georgia, California, Colorado and Florida. Her spiritual family mother Liggins, mother Williams and sister Pridgen who guided Diana through life’s journey. Special sister-brother friends, Angela Austin, Cheryl Jones, Linda Webb, Stephanie Godwin and Gregory White. Diana cherished two loving nurses who were like family, Angelia Guy and Kristi Spears, Alex Appleby and the Staff at Home 2 were Diana's heart! Diana loved each and every one in her life.
