Donald Lee Rakestraw Obituary
Donald Lee Rakestraw, 77, went on to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025. He was born to John and Tellene Rakestraw on August 29, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1966. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord as well as others.
He served his country honorably as helicopter fueler for the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he worked for General Motors and AVIS, respectively.
He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Tellene Rakestraw, siblings: William “Billy” Rakestraw, John “Paul” Rakestraw, Joanne Dillard, and Vera Lucille Barnes, and daughter: Yolanda (Spears) Choice.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Emma Rakestraw, and only son, Desmond Rakestraw, and three stepsons, Michael, Todd, and Terrance, stepdaughter, Chasity Crawford, and a host grandchildren and great grandchildren.
