Dudley Robinson Thomas, Jr. (known as “SPOON”) was born March 8, 1954 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late Dudley Robinson Thomas, Sr. and Alice Smith-Thomas.
He attended Fairview High School and thereafter joined the US Marines. He resided in Dayton for many years where he worked at Inland, Wright State University, and the U. S Post office. He was also a member of the Roadrunners Motorcycle Club for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mom Ella Thomas, sister Lenore “Cookie” Dixie, and a host of uncles and aunts. He leaves to cherish his memory one brother – David Thomas (Dayton), one sister – Johnnie King (Ft. Wayne, Indiana), three daughters: LaShona Hodges (Dayton), Tiyoka Hodges (Baltimore, Maryland), and Tia Thomas (Atlanta, GA), and devoted companion, LaVerne McLaughlin, Myrtle Smith, aunt (Cincinnati, OH), Gary Pointdexter and Joey King, cousins (Ft. Wayne, IN), three grandchildren: Tynisha Griffin and Shannon Griffin both of (Baltimore, Maryland), and Diamond Hodges (Dayton), close friends: Pierre Collins, Donald “Duck” Blanton, Cheryl Thomas, as well as a host of great grandbabies, relatives and friends.
