Duwone Lee Holmes was called home by God on December 3, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1991, to Eric Jerome Holmes Sr. and Adriene Levine in Pasadena, California. Duwone was raised in Dayton, Ohio, by his grandmother, Barbara Holmes.

A talented athlete, Duwone excelled in wrestling, swimming, and track and field. He had been running since the age of 2 years old. This year, he began training for the 200 meter race for the 2028 Olympic Games. He graduated from Dayton Christian High School in 2010. Duwone was pursuing a career in the truck driving industry. He had a passion for playing video games and loved caring for his dog, KD in his spare time.

Many remember Duwone as a wonderful neighbor, friend, and classmate. He is survived by his grandmother, Barbara Holmes, his parents, Eric Holmes Sr. (Sheila) and Adriene Levine, his siblings, Eric Holmes Jr. and Brook Holmes, his aunt, Reola Saunders, along with numerous cousins and other cherished loved ones.
