In loving memory of Ebon Kenyatta Smith, born on September 4, 1975 and peacefully passed away at the age of 48 in his home in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Ebon lived up to his name. Ebon means black, Kenyatta means bold. He was a charismatic, loving, and ambitious individual with a heart that always aimed to bring joy. His passion for dressing well, smelling good and spreading laughter defined his free spirited nature.Devoted to his family, he was a caring father to his children Kania andKevon. Ebon’s love extended to his parents, siblings, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his grandparents Alberta Neal (Robert), Nathion Smith (Mable), Lonnie Freeman (Ardelia), Richard Smith and several uncles and aunts.
His memory is survived by his daughter Kania Arionne Smith (Pooh), son Kevon Mathews, their mother Sakia Mathews, parents Joe and Bessie Smith, siblings, Trina Phillips (Danny), Phyllis Dowell (David), Tyrus Hamilton (Charrisce) and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Though gone too soon, Ebon’s memory will forever be cherished and never forgotten.
