Elizabeth was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Miami Jacobs Business College, Sinclair Community College and Kettering School of Nursing. She also attended Wright State University. She retired from Veterans Administration Medical Center, where she had served as a Registered Nurse, she also worked at Grandview Hospital and numerous nursing home in the area.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Hodges; parents, Elizabeth “Lily” Wilson, John H. & Doris Brown; brother, Mitchell Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Jeffrey and David (Michelle) Hodges; grandchildren, Quinisha Hodges, Jacinta Walton, Jamilla Hodges, Bryce Hodges; great grandchildren, Ra’Mya A. Harris, Rayne A. Isaac, Aniyah K. M. Smith, Avery N. J. Walton, Ace M. E. Walton, David A. Young III, Egzie Hodges, Lorelei Hodges; brothers, John, Howard, Derrick, Kim & Byron Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
