Frank Michael Sci Jr. proudly served in the Air Force for 30 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Throughout his distinguished career, he received numerous accolades and commendations for his leadership and bravery in Vietnam, and his dedication to duty. He served as a navigator flying C-130 aircraft and had a special skill of being able to navigate without instruments using the stars.
Beyond his military service, Frank was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and genuine compassion for others. He had a profound impact on all who knew him, touching the lives of countless individuals with his warmth and generosity. He was very athletic and played baseball, softball, croquet, and racquetball - remaining quite active into his early 80’s.
Frank's legacy will live on in the hearts of his loving family, including his devoted wife LaVerne Kenon Sci, and his children LaFrae, LaTania, and Travis Sci. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Frank's life will be held on June 3rd at Holy Trinity A.M.E. Church in Wilberforce, Ohio. Viewing at 3 pm, service at 4 pm.
A loving father, friend, and husband, Frank will be deeply missed but never forgotten, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Frank often remarked philosophically, “Life is full of surprises… and they can’t all be bad!”
