Glenn Heath Obituary


Minister Glenn Anthony Heath (Bumpy) peacefully transitioned on July 20, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital.
 

Minister Glenn was born November 21, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio. He was raised in a Christian household and presently a dedicated member of Greater St. John M.B.C., where he enjoyed being under the mentorship of Pastor Hayes. He was very active in the church. Not only was he a minister, he also served as a Deacon and worked with the media services as well. 

 Glenn graduated from Roosevelt H.S. Class of ‘71. He served proudly in the United States Navy and also Navy Reserve. He was employed with the City of Dayton in the Water Dept. as Engineer and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Mason State of Ohio, Ancient Square Lodge #40, Amaranth Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. As well as Deborah Chapter #19.
 
Minister Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Smith (James Smith) and Otis James Heath (Shirley Heath), God- Son Willie Williams Jr., sister Brenda Heath, niece Chanda Nettles, great nephew, Tevin Million, cousins, David "Sonny" McFarland Jr., Emma Jean Mosby and best friend Steve Hummons.
 
Minister Glenn is survived by his loving and devoted wife Joan Hudnell Heath, sisters Terry Smith, Joyce Smith, Gloria Roberts, Marsha Heath, brothers Stan Heath, and Wesley Heath, cousins: Ralph Anthony, Charles Moore, Joy Foster, Renee Anthony Betty (Rev. Martin) Winslow, Venita (Reginald) Frey, Jemille Winslow, Darlene (Jeff) Parks, Louis Davis, Gloria Perry, Richard (Anita) Davis, Patsy Hill, Walter Heath, Rev. Damien Sneed. Nephews: Chris Smith, Ricky Robert, Jaton Sweatt, Jason Sweatt, T'Monte Watson, T'Vonte Watson, nieces: Gracarrie Heath, Nisha Lattimore, Courtney Lattimore, great nephew William Burney Jr., brother-in-law Willie Hudnell Jr., great nieces Heavenlee and Tylen, God- Daughters Sekina Hummons and Zenobia English, best friend Rudy Walker; With a host of other relatives and friends.
