Harry R. Pegues

Harry R. Pegues age 66 of Dayton, OH departed this life Tuesday July 18th, 2023.  Harry was a 1974 graduate of Kiser High School. He was proceeded in death by his father Harry L. Pegues, his grandmothers Verna Mae Davis, Olivia Owens Edgerson, grandfather Roy Pegues and his brother Darrell L. Pegues.  He leaves behind to celebrate his life his mother Ora Dee Pegues. Two sisters B. Gail Pegues & Marva (Sherman) Gray. A brother Kendall (Geraldine) Pegues.  Five nieces and nephews, Danielle, Kendall Jr. & Lauren Pegues, Kelli & Matthew (Ashley) Gray, six great nieces and nephews.  Harry (also known as Carlo) graduated from Sinclair Community College and attended Wright State University. He worked for Good Samaritan Hospital from 1974 - 1988.  Harry joined the City of Dayton as a Police Officer in 1989 where he faithfully served his community for 23 years until he retired in 2012.  Harry was one of a kind, one of the most trustworthy, family-centered and responsible persons God has created. The best son, brother, uncle, friend and/or colleague that anyone could hope to have.  He was loved and will be sorely missed. May God Bless his soul! Rev. Merritt Worthen officiating.
