James R. Chambers Obituary

James R. Chambers was born June 17, 1941 in Jackson, Alabama to the union of the late Robert Lee & Lillie Bell Young Chambers. He relocated to Ohio in 1958 and united with Hawthorne Street AOH Church of God, which later moved to College Street and changed its name to Mt. Zion AOH Church of God, where he served as an organist. James was a bus driver for Montgomery County MRDD until he retired.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brendalyn Ware; brothers, Roosevelt, Winston and Arthur Chambers.


James leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 54 years, Clara; daughters, Carlene Logan, Doris Haywood; sons, Reginald, Roderick & Dana Chambers; 16 grandchildren; and host of great grandchildren; many other loving relatives & friends.
