Jermaine Victor Fancher

December 28, 1974 – January 23, 2025

Jermaine Victor Fancher, a proud father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and cherished individual known for his hilarious personality and unwavering strength, passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 50. He was born on December 28, 1974, to Gary Fancher and Bienvinida “Bennie” Patterson in Dayton, Ohio. He was also loved by his stepmother, Robin Fancher.

Jermaine was a proud graduate of Stebbins High School in Riverside, Ohio, where he was an all-star athlete, especially in basketball as a shooting guard, where he was known for cleaning up from way downtown with his 3-point shots every time. He played football as a slot back receiver and ran in track and field. Following his graduation, he worked alongside his father’s commercial and residential painting company with contracts in the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati areas. To further develop his professional career in painting, he completed a few courses that covered construction blueprint reading at Sinclair Community College.

Jermaine’s faith was an important part of his life. He attended The Mount Pisgah Church under the leadership of Bishop K. Edwin Bryant. Later, due to his immobility, he began attending services online with Transformation Church, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Todd. His relationship with God deepened, and he found great comfort and strength in his faith.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Bienvinida “Bennie” Patterson; his former spouse and best friend, April Fancher; his cherished Granny, Helen Fancher; his children, Isiah Fancher, Cierra Fancher, and Cameron “Cam” Fancher; his grandson, Isiah Fancher Jr.; his sister, Irene Fancher (Augy) Tran; his brothers, Austin Fancher and Ayrington Fancher; his nephew, Augustus Tran; his uncle, Lance (Amelia) Fancher; his aunts, Terri Fancher (Godmother), Connie Leonard, and Rhonda Ramsey; his cousins, Tabele (Summer) Fancher, Janerra Washington, Katrina (Kenny Ray/husband) Tevis, Shantell Fancher Brown, Nadia Tippett, Aki Carter, Stacy (TJ) Gay, Shela Fancher, Tony Leonard, Trent Leonard, Heather Christoff, Holland Ramsey, Robert (Noreen) Graham, Twila Carstens, and Trudy Aherns.
