Jerry W. Reed

Jerry W. Reed age 69 of Dayton departed Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was born September 21, 1950 in Brownsville, TN to the late Garland Sr. and Gertrude Reed. Jerry was the youngest of his family. He moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1967 and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1969.

Jerry was a member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor J. L. Coleman. He retired from GM after 40 years of service and started his own Lawn Care Service. Jerry worked hard and loved his business and customers. Jerry was generous and loved to help others.

He leaves to mourn, his wife of 30 years and companion of 40 years, Jeanette Reed; three step daughters, Curtisha (Antonio), Tonda (Seneca) and Tamika: six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Hurstine Ward, Blondell Demoss, Laverne Reed, Garland (Patsey) Reed, Montina (Robert) Berryhill, Eva Flowers, Jeanette Reed and Earl Thomas Reed; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
