Jimmie Peterson, Jr. peacefully departed this life on Friday, February 13, 2026. Born on December 31, 1952, in Greensboro, Alabama, to the late Jimmy Peterson, Sr. and Cleretta Peterson. Jimmie lived a life marked by strength, dedication, and service to others. He was a hardworking and dependable employee who devoted many years of faithful service to Rumpke in the Recycle Division before retiring. His strong work ethic and commitment earned him the respect of both colleagues and friends.

A man of deep faith, Jimmie was a devoted and active member of Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served under the leadership of Pastor James Mitchell. He gave generously of his time and talents in many capacities, including usher, trustee, and head of the building maintenance ministry. Jimmie took great joy in learning and growing spiritually, always seeking to deepen his understanding and walk with God.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand wherever needed. His presence brought comfort and encouragement to many, and his legacy of service and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, loving aunts, Mirtle Reid, Doris Evans and Willa Love, along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
