Kathryn L. Farris

Kathryn L. Farris, age 87 was born July 2, 1932 in Bowden, Georgia. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2019.

“Big Kat” as her family affectionately called her was preceded in death by her father William Farris, her stepmother Pauline Farris and her furry dog children CoCo and Pepper.

She leaves to cherish her memory Rayfield (Ozella) Farris, Choice Ann (best friend) and a host of cousins and friends.

Kathryn loved education so much that she became a volunteer foster grandparent at Louise Troy Elementary School. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she retired in the early 1980s from Channel 2 WDTN in Dayton, Ohio.
