Lillie Stover Obituary

Mrs. Lillian (Hulsey) Brown Johnson Stover, age 97 of Nashville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 2020.  Lillian was born on May 10, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois.    Lillian was a former member of the United Gospel Choir and St Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church of Dayton Ohio.  She served on the mother board at Hicks Tabernacle Mission and Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.  Lillian served as first Lady of the Agape Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee.  

Lillian was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was a sweet, strong, woman who loved the Lord, loved to laugh and made everyone laugh around her.   She had a big heart and loved spending time with family and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Arzola Brown (Henry) and George Hulsey, her sons Vincent Simes, Lonnie Johnson, daughter Delores Webster (Dorsey) and sister Gladys Porter.  She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Rev. Henry Stover (Nashville, TN) Her children: Lee Grant Johnson (Brenda) (Irene), Mary Martin (Caldwell- deceased), George Johnson, Clyde Johnson (Chicketha), and Diana Peterson (Leroy-deceased) her step children and a host of grandchildren (great grandchildren), nieces, nephews and friends.
