Lucille Monroe Ferrell, age 88, a loving and devoted Mother to Larry, Shari and Craig, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Lucille was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 5, 1931, to the late Lovell and Bessie Monroe.
Lucille attended Homer High School in Homer, Louisiana. Lucille was united in marriage to her beloved Joe Ferrell on May 8, 1951 and moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1951. Lucille loved going fishing concerts, traveling and the Casino with her daughter Shari. She also loved collecting memorabilia from her many travels. Lucille was a devoted member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Morris Smyth. Lucille loved the Lord and her family.
Lucille was preceded in death by her son Craig Anthony Ferrell and husband, Joe L. Ferrell, parents, Lovell Monroe and Bessie Mills Monroe, in-laws Willie Ferrell and Hattie Rabb Ferrell, Richard Monroe, Brother Bernard Monroe, Lovell (Red) Monroe Jr, Hosea Monroe and Bruce Monroe.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted and loving daughter Shari Kay Ferrell-Westmoreland, Dayton, Ohio and a son Larry Ferrell of Atlanta, GA, 3 Sisters, Mildred Monroe-Floyd and Clothea Monroe-Buggs of Homer, Louisiana and May Evans of Phoenix, Arizona, nieces and nephews and long time and devoted friends, Barbara Long and Mable Calhoun.
