Lynnette Campbell, a bright ray of sunshine with an infectious smile and a distinct voice was born on September 28, 1950. She completed her life’s journey peacefully on June 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Walker and parents Richard and Hazel Walker. Lynn, as she was affectionately called, graduated from Dunbar High School class of 1968. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Wilberforce University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Antioch University and was in the process of completing her PhD. Working at AmeriCorps, Lynn had a natural affinity for working with individuals with Special Needs. She retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company and Mini University. Lynn gave her life to Christ at an early age when she was a member of Upshaw A.M.E. Church. She later joined Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Volunteer Receptionist. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 30 years Stanley Campbell, son: Kurt Stokes, grandchildren; Sharyta Chivers, Ashlee’ Epps, Kurt Stokes Jr., Micah Epps, Kurtis Epps, Kavon Stokes and Da’Nyla McCoy. Her brothers, Richard Walker (Lenora) of Denver CO., Darryl Walker, her loving sister Regina Roberts-Holman (Vernon). Sisters in law Deborah Hobson (Carl), Cornelia Campbell; Brothers in law Dell Campbell (Roya), Charlotte N.C. and Darnell Campbell, New York. Special cousin and first best friend Olivia Patterson Hester (Charles). Best Friends; Gay DeBrill, Wanda Barney, Special niece Robbie Love, Special daughter Ayonna Epps McCoy. And many, many Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins friends and family.
