M. Dolores Whittaker, age 91 of Dayton was born August 12, 1933. She departed this life on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl W. Gibson, Sr. and Bertha Mae Gibson; her late husbands: Lloyd Logan and John M. Whittaker; daughter, Lynne Goodwin and son John Whittaker II.

She graduated from Roosevelt High School, class of 1952. In her youth, she worked at Elder-Beerman and went on to retire from General Motors after many years of dedicated service.

She loved playing bingo – and celebrating all the holidays, adorned in special outfits to show off her holiday spirit.

She is survived by her two grandchildren: DeLeeia (Antony) Lyons of Oxnard, CA and Shannon Goodwin (Cedric) of Dayton, OH; four great-grandchildren: Xzavier, Jadelyn, Elias, Josiah; sister Bertha Anderson of Boston, Massachusetts; three nieces: Celest, Donna, Celia and three nephews: Mark, Carl III, Philmore along with a host of other relatives and friends.
