Michael Eugene Walker, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio on January 17, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1965, to Maggie Joe Walker and Clarence Eugene Walker.
Michael's journey in life took him to various paths, and he made a lasting impact wherever he went. He began his career at Domino's, where he quickly gained popularity as "Poppin Fresh the Pizza Man" or "The Pillsbury Dough Man." His dedication and exceptional service made him a well-known figure throughout Dayton. Later on, he pursued his passion for driving and became an independent truck driver, showcasing his strong work ethic and determination.
Beyond his professional life, Michael was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, always supporting his favorite team with unwavering loyalty. He. was also known for his lyrical skills, often captivating others with his spontaneous rhymes, which he effortlessly delivered at any given moment. One of Michael's greatest joys was his love for cars, particularly his prized possession, a 1971 Cadillac Coupe de Ville affectionately named "SUPER FLY." This car, a special gift from his father on his 16th birthday, held a special place in his heart and represented his passion for the open road.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was a devoted father to his three beautiful daughters, Denise (Asher) Parker, Jhaquanna Nevins (affectionately known as his "favorite daughter; lol"), and Michelle (Jason) Mackey. His love and pride for his daughters knew no bounds, and he never missed an opportunity to express his adoration for each of them.
In addition to his daughters, Michael is survived by his father, Clarence Eugene Walker. He also leaves behind his sister, Shirley V. Jordan, five grandchildren: Dana Ellis Jr, Brian, Buchanan Jr., Asher Parker Jr., Bayleigh Parker, and Beyond Mackey. A lifelong friend and brother, Willard Ellington, held a special place in Michael's heart. Michael honored Willard by appointing him as the godfather to his three beloved daughters. Known affectionately as "Mylo," Willard embraced this role wholeheartedly, living up to the title bestowed upon him by his dear brother. Michael couldn't have imagined a better godfather for his daughters.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Joe Walker, his grandparents Pauline Watson, Ethel & Albert Lowery, his brother-in-law, Dr. James R. Jordan, and his favorite cousin Ronald Casey. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved Michael dearly.
Michael Eugene Walker will be remembered as a loving father, a loyal friend, and a man with a zest for life. His infectious smile, kind heart, and magnetic personality will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
