Michael J. Edwards, Sr.

Michael Edwards transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Michael was born January 12, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio. His parents were the late Mr. Clarence. and Mrs. Lillie Morris.

Michael was a 1967 graduate of Roosevelt High School. He also attended Central State University. He retired from the Dayton Fire Department after 17 years of dedicated service. He worked at AVIS Car Rental after retiring.

He was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church where he served as a mentor to young men. He was also a member of the food drive at the church. Michael loved his family was a big prankster, he loved playing head games on his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, he also loved cars.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Marcia Roberts-Edwards and brother David Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife Lisa Edwards, a dedicated son Michael Edwards II (Nikki), brother Paul Morris (Shirley) of California, stepdaughters Victoria Glover, Marissa Hatch and Miranda Hatch, sisters-in-law Debbie (Jerry) Tims, Carol Roberts-Williams and Patricia Martin, nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of great friends and loved ones.
